Kokopelli's Trees Kokopelli's Trees

Rated 3.5 / 5 stars October 17, 2007

Really liked the style.

The style of the whole piece was really cool and I liked your transitioning from the various stages. The only major problem was the length of the actions. I think if you chopped out about half of the planting and and half the running tree growing and half of the growing tree close-up it would make the whole thing tighter and have stronger visual impact. As the animation is now I grew tired from one part to the next and began to question if anything else was going to happen.

Other than that, really nice work.

That was good....

I really liked the twist, it just need to be a little more clear, I think. A nice block-letter "TAG!" when contact is made and then it fades away would have been pretty cool. That's just me though.

Fische responds:

I thought of doing that, but then someone else told me not to. I think that I'll have to make a general poll and see what the audience thinks is best. Thanks for the review!

not bad, short and sweet

just an idea for you; I'd be nice if the game had a more complex scoring system; more points for a more accurate shot type of thing.

psychological problems...

you games has fundimental issues. First off, who wants to play a game where the life of a fast food worker is emulated? We live in a marvelous world of money and power, we play games where we can pretend we're great generals, billionaires, and Hugh Hefner; nobody wants to be a fry cook, real life or pretend. As far as the game play goes, there are way too many things to try to accomplish, you forget that us internet savvy/game-playing people have developed severe ADD, we don't want to try to keep track of fourteen different things at once. In the future, try less to recreate reality (unless it's a super-agent and/or fighter pilot) and focus on what people could have fun playing in a couple of minutes or two; try to work in some laughs too, it couldn't hurt.

decent...

not bad, it'd be nice if we could do something with the finished product. I spent a couple of minutes creating a character and when I had one that looked pretty cool all I could do is close the window and erase him, kinda sad really. Also, I think it would be helpful to display numbers for each of the different options so if a person's flipping through quickly to see what there is they can make mental note of a number they like and easily get back to it. Also, it's be nice if the selection arrows looped back to the first/last at the end/begining of the list.

Sneifo responds:

yea, I had that thing allready on my mind. I will update that thing to it when I have time, or then I just make version 3, and put that saving system.

That was pretty slick...

I didn't see it in the description so I'm not sure if you realized it or not; but, it's totally the Zelda music, just a bit funked up. If that's not what you were going for, it still seems very Zelda inspired. Nice.

staticnoise responds:

Whoa. I had no idea. Thanks for the review!
